We recently provided a three man team over a two week period for a new client in London that specialises in tunnelling.
The job was to provide Technical and Rope Rescue cover as the tunnel was constructed 5 meters vertically and 15 meters horizontally under buildings and a road. As the tunnel progressed the structure was supported by timber shoring. The tunnel was required to provide contractor access to a collapsed sewer pipe for essential repairs.
Rescue 2 set up rope rescue systems, as well as a basic tripod rescue set up, gas monitoring and contractor control.
